Some people consider overclocking a waste of time, but to a great many, it’s getting more for less (theoretically). If you are like most people who have really overclocked something, you are probably guilty of changing a BIOS option that shouldn’t have been changed, be it a RAM timing set too high or the core voltage too low, that will requiring a CMOS clearing. This can sometimes be remedied by holding insert before the system POSTs, but what if you can’t figure something out? What if you are trying lots of things and need some CMOSclearing action? Opening up the case and fishing around blindly for the little clear CMOS jumper and moving it back and forth isn’t exactly practical, but what if there were some sort of switch? Alas, there is, and you can make one.
