After looking at the Samsung 172X, the monitor is really a statement of how much LCD technology has improved over the years. While my older LCD failed many of the display tests in our suite, the Samsung 172X handled them with ease. I am still very impressed with the sharpness and brightness of the Samsung and combined with a theoretical 12ms response time, a small, flexible frame, this monitor is great. Samsung has set yet another high standard for display technologies with the SyncMaster 172X.
