According to Gartner, 80 percent of new enterprise WLAN installations will include 802.11a/g technology by the end of 2004. To meet the needs of its enterprise customers, ViewSonic announced the upgrade of its Tablet V1250 to include 802.11g capabilities that offer wireless transmission over relatively short distances at up to 54 megabits per second compared with the 11 megabits per second of the 802.11b standard.
