"Motorola has one of the longest running histories in the communications market. They’ve lasted for almost 80 years, and made some startling breakthroughs. Recently, they changed the cell phone industry by launching the first “flip” phone, which really pioneered the giant mobile phone market that it is today. Since then, they’ve continued to make some big strides with mobile phones. They launched one of the first Windows Smartphones, the MPX220. They’ve given carriers, like Nextel, “walkie-talkie” functions, and most importantly to me, revolutionized cell phone design."
