Microsoft has just released its brand new Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware (beta) software for free download. Of course, MS AntiSpyware is the culmination of a dozen or so small companies that had been bought out for their technologies, but still, it is impressive to see MS finally doing something about the mirky world of Spyware.
"Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware (Beta) is a security technology that helps protect Windows users from spyware and other potentially unwanted software. Continuous protection improves Internet browsing safety by guarding more than 50 ways spyware can enter your PC. The worldwide SpyNet community plays a key role in determining which suspicious programs are classified as spyware. Microsoft's vision for anti-spyware solutions is that customers should be empowered to make informed decisions about the software that installs and runs on their PCs. Microsoft will take steps toward this vision by making it easier for customers to gain insight into what's running on the system, to better discern good software from bad software."
