Miki writes in about a problem he had with a stuck fan.... "I want to thank you for your site. My computer case fan quit and getting one by mail will take some time. I followed your instructions for oiling the fan and it worked. It's quite a miracle, really. I had no idea there was an oil well under the label. It's wonderful to have a site like yours to go to for these problems that really are not a bit small. I believe it was the case fan that stopped running one night when the computer was running. In the morning the display showed something seriously wrong. I shut everything down and checked the display card and it was extremely hot. I believe the nVidia card's fan had also stopped and burnt out the card. It was a total disaster. The system had two hard drives connected to a RAID card ... unfortunately a tech disconnected the hard drives from the card and lost all my data before I could save it. Only now after months of my pricey Micron Millenia Dream Machine sitting abandoned have I begun to resurrect it. Without your site, I wouldn't be able to do it quite yet."
