D-Link has also given the more advanced users a lot of functionality in the DI-624. DMZ’s, port forwarding, virtual server, as well as other firewall features are supported and are actually quite easy to set up. There is even an option of being able to access the firewall from outside of the network, but this of course is not recommended unless the user knows EXACTLY what they are doing. Many common applications that require specific network settings are already included in this router (such as Battle.net), so even those unfamiliar with firewall settings can quickly get these applications up and running.
