Congrats to SpaceShipOne
for capturing the X Prize!
SpaceShipOne safely blasted to the brink of space and back for the second
time in five days, potentially scooping the $10 million Ansari X Prize.
Pilot Brian Binnie glided the rocket to a smooth landing at California's
Mojave Airport around 0813 Pacific Daylight Time (1513 Greenwich Mean Time)
to cheers and applause from thousands of onlookers. Champagne corks were popped
on the runway by team members, to celebrate.
