Looks like the deal between Wal-Mart and ECS is not a good deal for Taiwan notebook makers... Competition between manufacturers is heating up in the 16x DVD burner market. On that note, 16x DVD burner prices drop below $80US. Notebook sales were flat in August but are expected to pick up in September.
