As predicted, Nvidia and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) today officially celebrated the shipment of the 500 millionth processor designed by NVIDIA and manufactured by TSMC. The processors – which include NVIDIA GeForce graphics processing units (GPUs) and NVIDIA nForce media and communications processors (MCPs) – were created on 2.6 million 8-inch equivalent wafers.
