There are a lot of press releases today!
ECS is happy to anounce its new KA3
MVP Extreme motherboard...
The KA3 MVP Extreme supports AM2 versions of AMD Athlon™ FX, Athlon
64 X2 Dual-Core, Athlon 64 and Sempron™ CPUs as well as AMD’s new
AM2 Energy Efficient microprocessors. AMD’s new lineup of low power processors
provides 35W and 65W versions of AM2 processors for increased energy savings.
Unlike socket 939 and 754 motherboards, the KA3 MVP Extreme breaks through previous
limits to support dual channel DDR2-533, 667 and 800 SDRAM memory, which adds
to performance gains.
It talks about its new RS485M-M
Socket AM2 Motherboard...
This new RS485M-M motherboard is a higher-clocked version of the ECS’
RS482-M, with many of the same great features but with a higher-performing integrated
graphics solution. The trend for the next generation of games will demand exceptional
performance to provide realistic and amazing 3D graphics, which the RS485M-M
guarantees. For customers looking for a cost-effective solution without compromising
on performance, the RS485M-M definitely provides excellent value for money.
OCZ now does EPP
memory as well.
The mission of Enhanced Performance Profiles is to offer optimized system
operation and compatibility through the collaboration and integration of OCZ
configured SPD (Serial Presence Detect) settings and BIOS designs on NVIDIA
nForce 590 SLI-based motherboards. OCZ exclusively engineered select high-performance
modules with advanced SPD settings to allow compatible motherboards to recognize
and utilize the added information, ultimately increasing the performance potential
of the entire platform. Only motherboards equipped with the custom-designed
BIOS, such as those designed for NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCPs, can detect the
optimized SPD profiles of the EPP-based modules and ensure the memory functions
under the best possible conditions.
Finally VIA is on the Socket
AM2 ball.
To accommodate the latest platform features and rising system bandwidth
requirements, AMD's transition to socket AM2 will enable a new wave of innovation
on AMD64 based systems featuring AMD Virtualization and high-performance DDR2
memory. Supporting this transition, VIA offers a wide range of chipset solutions
that are fully compatible with socket AM2 platforms, including the VIA K8M890,
ideal for Windows Vista(tm)-ready systems, and the VIA K8T900 performance chipset
with dual X8 PCI Express support.
