Was this any surprise? Apparently movie UMD sales are virtually nill and movie studios are cutting UMD support. While I love my Sony PSP, it's a gaming machine primarily. If I want to watch movies, I'll do so on my computer or TV... The price of UMD movies are also too high, for the same price you can buy the DVD!

Universal Studios Home Entertainment has completely stopped producing UMD movies, according to executives who asked not to be identified by name. Said one high-ranking exec: "It's awful. Sales are near zilch. It's another Sony bomb -- like Blu-ray."
