Internet search portal Lycos, owned by the Korean company, Daum Communications began offering its Lycos Phone service. And Jahjah, a start-up with backing from a major Silicon Valley venture capital firm Sequoia Capital Partners, launched its VoIP (voice over IP) service in the U.S., after several months of offering it in Europe.
