Intel 975X Express vs. NVIDIA nForce4 X16 SLI - Intel 975X Express vs. NVIDIA nForce4 X16 SLI
Fri, December 30 2005 | 3:59PM | PermaLink Feedback?
These days users are very limited in the amount of chipset options they have. Currently the latest high-end chipsets for Intel LGA775 platform include the NVIDIA nForce4 X16 SLI and the Intel 975X Express chipset. Intel has only recently updated their flagship chipset from the 955X, to the 975X Express which brings a few new features to the table. The primary reason for releasing this chipset was to offer support for the upcoming Pentium XE dual-core processors which feature two independent 2MB L2 cache, 1066MHz front-side-bus, Hyper-Threading Technology, and Virtualization Technology for improved multi-thread operations.
