FrostyTech has this report on a French story of Cool Labratory's "Liquid Metal" thermal interface material allegedly causing serious corrosion to the aluminum components of a Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu heatsink. The Material reportedly has a thermal conductivity of 82 W/mK, and is composed of a cocktail of low-temperature metals (like Gallium and Indium as an example). The actual elements in the "Liquid Metal" material have not been disclosed by its German manufacturer.
