Frostytech has a little post about something called an "Anisotropic nano Carbon Fiber heatsink." These are apparently made from individually bonded carbon fibers, and look like a sound absorbing tile from out of an anechoic chamber. The geometry is neccessary because of the way carbon fibers conduct heat, in order to maximize the cooling surface area so they say...
