Goldman said Sun and Google could easily architect a version of StarOffice that could be delivered over the Internet much as Google hosts Gmail and instant messaging today.
"We think it would make the most sense to offer calendar and a contact manager as a complement to Gmail, rather like Microsoft Outlook," Goldman said. "Word processing and spreadsheet capabilities could be offered as well, but may be less appealing to a broader market."
