LCD monoitor manufacturers are starting to push models in the 20"
range. Lite-On will produce a 16x
Super Multi DVD burner in October. Asus expects October to be a record
month in terms of notebook and motherboard shipments.
Asustek Computer expects its notebook and motherboard shipments in October
to beat its record monthly shipments in August, according to the company. The
motherboard giant anticipates it will ship 500,000 notebooks and five million
motherboards in October, up from 300,000-350,000 notebooks and 4.56 million
motherboards that it shipped during the same period in 2004.
