The Universal 3-D Project has been formed for several years and has the aim to bring 3-D images to mainstream applications. This will work by creating and deploying a single format which allows the applications to share the 3D data.
With all of the enhancements in systems today it is a suprise that we still have to use the DOS styled BIOS to configure and give our systems the performance edge. Intel are driving towards having a better BIOS, with full support for this within the next Windows Operating system - Vista.
