You know how hard it can be to find compatible memory upgrades for custom-built or older PC's whose make and model are a mystery? Enter the new System Scanner tool, it's a quick way to find the right memory for your PC without knowing your computer's specifications.

The software scans your computer hardware to automatically detect your system configuration, and then provides a report showing the details you'll need to know about what kind of memory you need, and even how much more the PC can accept.

The Crucial System Scanner tool shows the following bits of info:

- List of compatible memory upgrades
- How many memory slots are filled / available
- How much total memory (in MB) the system can accept
- What kind of graphics processing the system currently uses

Works with Mac and PCs, and while it is geared towards Crucial memory products, it should be a pretty useful tool for anyone trying to figure out what memory their PC needs, regardless if you shop at
