Q: Whenever I connect to the Internet, there are
about 4 or 5 culprits who install their programs. They may be spyware or other
program which even break the registry. I run spybot s&d + antivirus every
time. Anyone of them has installed 3 files as following: ied s7 c3.exe
Download.Trojan. these files could neither be deleted nor quarantined by the
Spyboat and Antivirus. I am very much worried as my computer P-3 is running very
slow. What to do?
A: The first thing you should do is ensure you have
the latest virus definitions for your antivirus software, download Microsoft's
anti-spyware
software and update it too, then reboot
your computer in safe mode (using F8 at startup). From safe
mode run both your antivirus software and the Microsoft Anti-Spyware
program.
Once that's done, reboot and follow the steps
outlined in PCstats' Beginner's Guide to removing spyware and browser
hijackers.
