"Last month, Intel announced their 955X performance chipset along with
their Pentium 840 dual-core extreme-edition processor. Today, Intel
announced the lesser, mainstream chipset, the 945(P/G) along with two new
processors including the Pentium 670 (3.8GHz Prescott) and the Pentium 820
(2.8GHz dual-core). Of course, I became very curious to see how these two
new chipsets compared to each other and whether there was much of a
performance advantage of the 955X over the 945G chipset."
