Seagate Backup Plus Slim External USB 3.0 2TB Hard Drive Review
Windows XP Professional x64 Edition - Windows XP Professional x64 Edition
Mon, May 09 2005 | 2:14PM | PermaLink Feedback?
The focus of this article is to determine if upgrading to Windows XP Professional x64 Edition with an AMD Athlon64 would give us a better gaming experience in current games. We used eight games for our evaluation including one that supported Win64 AMD64 specifically. We evaluate DOOM 3, Half Life 2, Need For Speed 2, Splinter Cell:Chaos Theory, Everquest II, World of Warcraft, The Chronicles of Riddick, and The Sims 2 on an Athlon 64 processor with Windows XP x64 Ed comparing ATI's and NVIDIA's flagship video cards. "That said, it looks as though many gamers wanting to put those seasoned Athlon AMD 64 processors to use on a new Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, can do so without much fear."
