AMD will cut dual core CPU prices ahead of Intel. Sony has announced the 80GB PS3 and cuts the price to the 60GB model. Both Samsung and Hynix prioritize its NAND flash for Apple.

First-tier memory module houses, though able to land more stock from the chipmakers than second-tier players, are still finding supply insufficient, the sources noted. Some second-tier players may even be seeing no availability of stock, the sources added. Chief memory module houses including A-Data Technology, Kingston Technology, Transcend Information and Power Quotient International (PQI) account for about one-fifth of Samsung's total output.
