IBM introduced its non-x86 Power6 server processors in Taiwan on May 31 (worldwide official launch was on May 21). With the launch of Power6 processors, IBM expects to challenge its non-x86 server market share in Taiwan from 42.6% in 2006 to 50% in 2007, according to Sophia Tong, president of IBM Taiwan.
