There are many forms of external storage devices; including flash drives, NAS devices and USB/Firewire. But for those like me that have tons of extra hard drives laying around you already have half the ingredients to make your own external drive. This is a form of back-up that I like myself due to the fact that I have several internal drives lying around that need a home.
