The average hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle can go about 150 miles before it
needs to refuel, according to Patrick Davis, acting program manager for hydrogen
fuel cells and infrastructure technologies at the U.S. Department of Energy.
That makes municipalities, which generally keep their cars within short distances
and return them to a common station, good testing grounds.
