Although Intel has not yet confirmed plans to construct a fab in China and the number-one pure-play foundry Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) does not have direct competition with the chip giant, TSMC company chairman Morris Chang has reiterated his view that the Taiwan government should speed up its pace to relax advanced technologies production regulations across the Taiwan strait.
