Panasonic, the brand for Matsushita Electric Industrial, recently announced it has developed a blue LED element by employing gallium nitride (GaN) substrates for the first time in the industry. From mid-March, the company will mass produce a white high-power LED series using these elements and the company claims the LED achieves the industry's top-level output.
