VIA will be providing the southbridge chip for the Loongson processor developed by China's Chinese Academy of Sciences, according to the Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN). VIA hopes to provide the entire chipset for the processor in the near future and expand in the China PC market, noted the paper.
