Seagate Backup Plus Slim External USB 3.0 2TB Hard Drive Review
ASUS C90S Now Available Through Specialty System Builders - ASUS C90S Now Available Through Specialty System Builders
Tue, November 06 2007 | 5:29PM | PermaLink Feedback?

PCSTATS.comASUS, the worldwide leader in 3C total solutions, today announced its innovative C90S barebone notebook is now available through select system builders in North America as fully configurable desktop replacements. With support for current Intel Core 2 Duo desktop processors, the latest optical drives, and the widest range of interchangeable mobile graphics solutions, the C90S maximizes "do it yourself" (DIY) flexibility and opens performance overclocking on a level once reserved to desktop systems.

With an upgradeable notebook platform, buyers no longer have to suffer "buyer's remorse" once newer technology arrives. A single back panel separates the DIY user from all major components, easing modifications. The C90S' internal and external SATA connectors ensure that future storage options and speeds can grow with the user's needs.

To drive the latest DirectX®10 Gaming and PureVideo™ supported multimedia, the ASUS C90S supports NVIDIA® 8600M GS 256 MB DDR2 and 8600M GT 512MB DDR2. An older GeForce® 7700 256 MB DDR2 option is also available, offering the most suitable graphics purchase options at the user's discretion.

Other multimedia add-ons include an analog TV Tuner, DVD, HD-DVD, and Blu-ray drives, effectively transforming the C90S into a user-defined mobile entertainment center.

The full skinny on the Asus C90S notebook is available right after the jump.
