Fans of the original will be happy to find more missions, more ships and more depth within this RTS adventure. The plot cotinues after the Kushan have arrived at Hiigara and reclaimed it as their homeworld. You, the player, start in command of a mining ship of the Somtaaw Kith and must research or steal new technologies to expand your armed fighting capabilities. In addition to new allies and old enemies, a new terrifying species, called The Beast, has been discovered in the form of an organic/techno race determined to control the universe.
