The RIAA wins a music downloading lawsuit in the US, this definitely sets a precidence but man the RIAA certainly look like bullies here. I'm not a lawyer but $9,250 per song shared (24 of them) for a grand total of $220,000 seems excessive.
The recording industry has won a major fight in its effort to stop illegal music downloading with a U.S. jury decision to impose $222,000 damages against a Minnesota woman who used a Web service to share music.
