Akiba have posted some benchmarks for the Gigabyte X38 motherboard. This board combines the Intel X38 and ICH9R chipsets, with DDR2 RAM, not DDR3. Manufacturers are expecting DDR2 flavours to resonate with consumers more than DDR3, owing to its premium price at the moment.
