"Rumours are circulating in the industry that AMD intends to announce plans
for a tri core processor aimed at the consumer market (not server or workstation).
It is said to be planned for 1Q 2008. So far there is no news abt the clk rate nor ACP (no longer uses TDP power). The tri core processor will based on K10 architecture. It is said that it won't be disabling a core of a Phenom X4 to achieve tricore. This will be too costly, the article said."
