In Q4 09, we are about to see a the new platform which features a dual channel architecture and a new socket LGA1156. Boards have surfaced on the web, including ours. These processors comes in the performance and mainstream segement of the market.
As we can see from the chart, there is the i7-960, i7-870 for the performance sector. As for mainstream market, we have the Lynnfield Core i7 860, Core i5 750 processors.
In Q1 2010, Clarkdale processors will surface and will have speeds ranging from 3.2GHz to 3.46GHz. They comes with integrated video and will be laballed under the Core i3 banner.
In Q2 2010, Intel will introduce the 6 core LGA1366 Gulftown processors which targets the Extreme users. It will most likely be known as the Core i9 series.
