Despite the recent release of Core i7 by Intel the Core 2 platform still has quite a lot of life left in it especially when we consider the price/value of CPUs such as the Q6600, which is a great overclocker. With that CPU it is not uncommon to reach 3.3GHz from a reference speed of 2.4GHz but you still require a decent motherboard to achieve this. That’s where today’s review should help. We will be running each through a selection of real world test such as gaming, encoding and Photoshop use as well as finding out which achieves the best overclock.
