Taiwan-based IC design service company Faraday Technology will introduce USB 3.0 xHCI host and device controller chips with its partner Fresco Logic. The companies expect to complete the tape-out of 55nm design in the middle of this year, begin volume production in the first quarter of 2010 and see significant revenue contribution in the second half of 2010, according to Farady president HP Lin, as cited by a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.
