Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) is expected to enter production of Atom-core system-on-chip (SoC) solutions in the fourth quarter of 2009 at the earliest, according to industry sources. IP vendor ARM has said that its long-term collaboration with TSMC should not be affected by the foundry's new partnership with rival Intel.
