In addition to Intel's P55 chipset which is scheduled to launch in August to
September this year, Intel plans to launch four more 5-series chipsets – H57,
P57, Q57 and H55 – in the first quarter of 2010, according to sources at
motherboard makers. The high-end H57, P57 and Q57 chipsets will feature a new
version of Intel's Turbo Memory technology codenamed Braidwood.
The IGP H57, Q57 and H55 chipsets will support dual displays
with HDMI, DVI and Display Port outputs and built-in audio.
The non-IGP P55 and P57 will feature dual x8
PCI Express ports supporting either CrossFire or SLI technology.
