The Intel 80579 Smart SoC has a 45% Smaller Footprint with 34% Lower Power as it integrates 4 chips into 1 for smaller form factors. Power required also drops from 31 watts to 21 watts. The intial products will have a speed ranging from 600MHz to 1.2GHz.
As it is a a full featured SoC that meets embedded Requirements. It also comes with integrated Accelerators support with Intel® QuickAssistTechnology. There are currently >15 projects underway; Future SoCs based on Intel®Atom™processor core.
