Due to the impending slow season in Europe and dropping demand in China caused by the Sichuan earthquake and battery shortages, Asustek Computer saw revenues of just NT$18.1 billion (US$596.5 million) in May, an increase of 7% on year, but a decrease of 12% on month. The company's accumulated revenues in the first five months of 2008 were NT$101.7 billion, an increase of 23% compared to the same period the previous year.
