A Reader Asks... What Computer to Buy?

Q: Bob Asks - Would you please put all this information into perspective? Sometime, after microsoft release 7 comes out, I plan to buy a new multi-task, multi-processing PC (core2), a new 23-24" 1080p hdmi TV and PC combo. What's good?

A: If you're intent on Intel processors, the way forward is quad core Intel Core i5 + Intel P55 motherboard for mainstream workloads (and moderate budgets) or the Core i7 9-series + Intel X58 motherboard for more intensive work loads and bigger budgets. Pick the videocard right and you'll get HDMI output with it.
