Though we did not have a motherboard here to do extensive hands-on
testing, I did find some interesting overclocking information about the
Lynnfield CPU and the ASUS motherboards that I thought I would share.
First up is in regards to memory speeds: apparently Lynnfield CPUs that run
at 2.8 GHz and 2.93 GHz will be able to run memory at 1600 MHz at stock
settings while the 2.66 GHz parts will only be able to push 1333 MHz. Using
the custom built ASUS DRAM Overclocking Profiles though all the Lynnfield
processors will be able to run the DDR3 memory at speeds up to 2133 MHz!"
