"Intel is expected to unveil its new product roadmap as well as new technology innovations at the upcoming IDF to be held in San Francisco from September 22-24, according to market sources.
The chip giant is expected to announce detailed specifications pertaining to its Calpella platform for notebooks and next-generation Moorestown platform for MID products, noted the sources, adding that Intel might show engineering sample Moorestown-based MIDs, as well as revealing more details of its Medfield platform for MID's in 2011.
More details about the company's cooperation with Nokia and the company's solar cell subsidiary SpectraWatt are also expected to be talked about at the show. Meanwhile, notebook makers are expected to showcase their latest ultra-thin notebooks and Atom N450-based netbooks at the show.
First-tier motherboard makers will also showcase their latest P55-based motherboards."
