"Con un precio aproximado de $350 la nueva GeForce GTX 285 está en una liga superior ya que ATI no tiene una tarjeta que le haga competencia directamente. Sin embargo, esto no garantiza una buena proporción costo – desempeño por lo que será interesante ver si el desempeño que ofrece la GTX 285 justifica la diferencia de $150 que tiene en comparación a un GTX 260 o una Radeon HD 4870, o tal vez valga la pena gastar un poco mas y comprar una 4870 X2 de doble GPU o incluso una GTX 295 que cuestan $100 y $150 mas, respectivamente.
La tarjeta Asus que vamos a utilizar para este análisis (modelo ENGTX285 TOP) debería ofrecer un poco mas de potencia que una GeForce GTX 285 promedio ya que esta placa viene con un overclock de fábrica. Sin embargo, el desempeño adicional significa un precio más alto más o menos de $400.
