PC Games Hardware ran a hands-on test with the Acer Aspire Revo nettop to check the performance of Nvidia’s new Ion platform. The system is able to play HD video material and Blue-ray movies, but HD Youtube videos and HD Flash clips are not running smooth. Brief benchmarks with the Source Engine based Portal and Call of Duty 4 revealed that the Ion platform is strong enough to run graphically simple games.

"At CES 2010 SilverStone announced that it would be consolidating its power supply lines into a single series, the Strider. That model name has been in use for years, however all of the new Strider models feature 80Plus certification and modular cables, something the older units didn't offer. The one we have for review today is the Strider Plus 600W. Appearing very similar to its 750W sibling, this unit has identical 150mm x 160mm x 86mm dimensions, the same silent 135mm fan, single +12V rail design and offers many of the same protection features such as over-current, over-power, over/under-voltage and short-circuit."
