Forget about the numbers, nobody seems to know what deciBel a or c (dBa; dBc) mean anyway and the values used in the last 5 years throughout product marketing have created a totally skewed scale that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Truth is, though, that the ‘5870 PCS+ is essentially inaudible under idle conditions and even under load doesn’t exceed what others would call “whisper” or “silent” mode. In fact, aside from the raw performance, the absence of noise was the feature that really made the PowerColor RADEON HD5870 stand out from the plethora of graphics cards we have been looking at over time. To give an idea what I am talking about, the OCZ Vendetta2 is a very quiet cooler but we had to disconnect the fan in order to hear the ‘5870 PCS+. That was in an open case.
The bottom line here is, there are more powerful solutions, there are cheaper solutions but there doesn’t seem to be anything out there that combines the power and the silence of the ‘5870 PCS+ unless retrofitted with a liquid cooler. That by itself is reason enough to try and find one of these cards, and if the supply shortage is any indicator of the demand, then they seem to sell like hotcakes.

The DXG USA DXG-595V is a good entry level camera that offers some desired features for those looking for "point and shoot" simplicity. For a low cost camera, I was very pleased with the performance. It is extremely easy to use and produces decent video for the price. The still images it produces are good under optimal lighting, and can be taken at up to 5.0 megapixels.
