Acer founder Stan Shih, at a summit in Taiwan, commenting on Taiwan's increasing exchange rate, said that it is normal for exchange rates to fluctuate and since other countries are also seeing their rates increase, if Taiwan does not follow suit, it could damage Taiwan consumers. However, he pointed out that the falling US exchange rate is obviously controlled intentionally and if the issue is causing other countries to suffer from a negative influence, the US government should bear the most responsibility.
