Today AMD lifted the NDA on performance numbers with their new Fusion processor codenamed Zacate and the 18 Watt version of the chip is impressive. Zacate and the Brazos platform turns out to be faster than a dual-core Intel Atom processor at 1.8GHz but with graphics performance on-chip that rivals NVIDIA's Ion 2 GPU for the Atom platform. In short, Zacate looks to be a nice little package deal of balanced, low power CPU performance with decent graphics in a single, tiny 19mm chip design
